An easy and quite effective way to give your Google account an extra layer of protection against intruders is by using 2-step verification.

2-step verification means a little square that you have to confirm that it’s you logging in in 2 steps instead of one. This ensures the safety of your google account. Whenever you log in to any other device using your google id, you are required to verify yourself using an extra step which can be a code received on your mobile or on alternate email id or logged in smart phone.

 But many times users face trouble in getting sms on their phone. Whenever they try to login to another device, they are required to enter the verification code received, but actually they don’t receive any code. The issue of google 2 step verification not sending code is serious as you are not able to login to your account unless you enter the verification code. Thus what to do, the best way to fix the issue is to contact the google tech support team. You can also make change in the settings to fix the issue by your own.

How do you enable 2-Step Verification for Google Accounts?
  • Sign in to the Google Account.
  • Go to Settings->Account-> Security.
  • Click Setup next to Two-Step Verification.
  • Follow the instructions and enter the phone number.

What to do if Google 2 step verification not sending code?

In case you have enabled the 2 step verification option for your Google account, you need to verify yourself each time when you log in to a new device. If you have lost your phone and now are unable to receive the verification code, you must sign in with google 2 step verification without phone number.
  • Enter the step 2 verification code as soon as you receive it.
  • If you are unable to receive the code, enter the available backup code.
  • Get google tech support if you have absolutely no idea what to do in step 2 verification.
